Possessing corrosion-resistant qualities, stainless steel oval pipes are utilized for a variety of applications in different industries, ranging from construction to automotive. Usually constructed with either 304 or 316 grades of stainless steel, these pipes are integral to many business operations.
Forging an oval stainless steel pipe begins with fashioning a mandrel, an apparatus that molds the piece. Following this, the elongated mandrel is inserted into a die where it is trimmed to its desired length. The following step entails placing the cut pipe into a furnace, where heating ensues and follows up with a draw bench. Here, a die crafts the tube into its ideal shape.
Following its cooling process, the pipe is then ushered into a straightener where it is tightly rolled to uniform straightness. Afterwards, it goes through the cutting machine to have the desired length trimmed off. And with that, the stainless steel oval pipe is now ready to make its way to the customer.
